Love describes an intense feeling of deep affection or a great interest and pleasure in someone or something. The popular use of love is a feeling of deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone but love is beyond that.
Everyone wants to be loved but not everyone is willing to love, though grossly misused and misunderstood which makes some say they “fall in love at first sight” before even knowing the name of the person, on getting to know him or her closely, they quickly fall out of love, that’s not love! Love endures.
God’s love for you is unconditional. He knows you before He formed you, He knows you as you are now, He knows your future and loves you, regardless of your past and He wants to be intimate with you that is why He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die for us that we may be reconciled with Him and have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Again, the bible in the book of 1 John 4:7-8 says“Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and every one that believeth is born of God and knows God. He that loveth not knoweth not God, for GOD IS LOVE.” This makes it clear that God is love and love is God, we are encouraged to love God, love ourselves, and love our neighbour through the love of God.
The absence of love (God) is the presence of (hatred) satan the father of all lies, envy, jealousy, unforgiveness, and wickedness. It is impossible to love when you are not born of God, you can’t even love yourself how much more others, that’s why some want to attempt suicide, they want to let go of life or murder another but God will never let go of his Agape love for us and that is why he is ever ready to embrace us whenever we turn to Him and say No to sin.
Today, I encourage you to come to God, be born again through Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior to reciprocate God’s pure love for you. It is easy, confess Him, invite Him and repent of every sin, small and big, He will wash you clean and give you a new beginning.
